Look at my 2007-2008 class with our teddy bear named Thomas. Thomas left for Australia in October. He will return to us on April 27th. Meanwhile Thomas will visit Utah, California and Tennessee. Can you find these states on a map? There are more pictures of Thamas’ travels in our room. Look and see. |

I am so excited to be a part of the leading edge—- with a single gender class! All the smiling faces and bits of laces! And so much luggage! On the first day of school your daughters started a lunch table discussion on what they thought I should wear on my birthday. Says one, “I think she should wear a dress and party shoes.” The reply was, ”No, party shoes are uncomfortable! I think she should wear sneakers with her dress! And so it goes. I get advice about clothes, lots of love notes, and lots of hugs. For more information on single gender education, I recommend Why Gender Matters by Leonard Sax. The state single gender site is also interesting: http://www.ed.sc.gov/agency/Innovation-and-Support/Public-School-Choice/SingleGender/Index.html I look forward to amazing year!
